Today, soft washing services have become an essential method for cleaning and maintaining the exteriors of buildings, homes, and other structures. Unlike traditional pressure washing, which can sometimes be too harsh on surfaces, soft washing uses low-pressure water combined with specially formulated cleaning solutions to gently remove debris.
But as technology continues to advance, so does the way we approach even the most basic tasks—like outside cleaning. One of the most groundbreaking innovations in the field is the use of drone technology for soft washing services. This development not only revolutionizes how we clean, but also sets new standards in safety, efficiency, affordability, and flexibility for those looking to create a cleaner environment.
Soft washing is cleaning method that relies on a combination of low-pressure water and biodegradable cleaning solutions to effectively clean various surfaces without causing damage. Unlike pressure washing, which uses high-pressure streams of water that can erode surfaces and strip away protective coatings, soft washing services are designed to be gentle yet effective. It is particularly well-suited for cleaning delicate materials like vinyl siding, stucco, and roof shingles, where high-pressure washing could cause more harm than good.
The cleaning solutions used in soft washing services are typically eco-friendly and specifically formulated to target and eliminate organic growth such as mold, mildew, algae, and bacteria. These contaminants are unsightly and can cause significant damage over time if not properly addressed. By breaking down these harmful agents at their roots, soft washing services not only improve the appearance of your property but also extend the life of the surfaces being cleaned.
Traditionally, soft washing services have relied on technicians using ladders, scaffolding, or lifts to reach high or hard-to-access areas. While effective, these methods come with their own set of challenges, including safety risks, time consumption, and higher costs due to the need for additional equipment and labor. Today, drone technology is changing all of that.
Ariel drones are equipped with advanced spraying systems and perform soft washing services that were once difficult or even dangerous for manual workers. These drones are designed to carry and spray the same biodegradable cleaning solutions used in traditional soft washing services but with far greater precision and control. They can easily navigate around obstacles, reach high or awkwardly positioned surfaces, and ensure even coverage, all while being operated from the ground by a skilled technician.
One of the most significant advantages of using drone technology for soft washing services is the enhancement of safety. Traditional methods often require workers to operate at significant heights, increasing the risk of perilous falls and other accidents. Even with safety harnesses and other protective gear, working on ladders or scaffolding presents inherent dangers.
Drones eliminate the need for workers to physically access high or dangerous areas. Instead, the drones do the heavy lifting—literally. Drones can simultaneously adjust the speed and control the flow of cleaning. This not only reduces the risk of accidents but also ensures that the cleaning process is conducted more efficiently and with less downtime. In industries like commercial and industrial cleaning, where safety is the highest priority, the use of drone technology for soft washing services represents a major leap forward.
The choice between pressure washing and soft washing ultimately depends on the specific needs of your business.
For businesses looking to maintain the pristine appearance of their property without risking damage, soft washing services is often the better option. However, in some cases, a combination of both techniques might be necessary to achieve the best results.
While drone technology might sound like an expensive investment, it actually contributes to significant cost savings in the long run. The reduced need for manual labor, scaffolding, lifts, and other equipment means that operational costs are lower. These savings are often passed on to the customer, making drone-assisted soft washing a more affordable option compared to traditional methods.
Furthermore, the speed and efficiency of drones mean that fewer hours are required to complete a job, resulting in lower labor costs. Clients can expect to pay less for the same, if not better, quality of service. Luckily, as the technology continues to evolve and become more widespread, the initial costs associated with drones are expected to decrease.
Another major benefit of drone technology in soft washing is its unparalleled flexibility. Drones can access areas that are difficult or impossible to reach with traditional equipment. Whether it’s a high-rise building, a complex roof structure, or an awkwardly positioned wall, drones can navigate these challenges with ease.
This flexibility extends to the types of surfaces that can be cleaned as well. Drones can be adjusted to apply the right amount of pressure and cleaning solution for each specific job, ensuring that the surface is cleaned effectively without damage. This adaptability makes drones an ideal solution for a wide range of soft washing applications, from residential homes to commercial properties to large industrial complexes.

Jeff is a successful entrepreneur who is the CEO of Sun Brite Services, Inc. based out of Lawrenceville, GA. Sun Brite was founded in 1992 and is a commercial pressure washing company that completes jobs throughout the southeast. What started with very humble beginnings has grown into a multi million dollar organization that services government, medical, and privately held properties. With a focus on delivering the best quality possible job, efficiency and always doing the right thing for the customer Sun Brite consistently continues to grow. Jeff is a master at marketing and leveraging relationships that benefit both parties. Sun Brite has procured several national contracts with large companies to handle pressure washing projects.
Always looking for ways to become more efficient, Jeff was introduced to the drone cleaning world at a demonstration presented by the other founder Chris Creekmur. Quickly realizing the use of drones in the pressure washing industry could be a great opportunity, Jeff partnered with Chris on several large projects. After many conversations, Jeff and Chris realized there are many companies in a situation where even though they may want to enter the drone cleaning industry or have even purchased a drone but need further training and support. Drone Clean was formed to offer support, training and education to these companies.
Outside of work Jeff has been married for over 25 years, is a father of 3, and a grandfather of 2. In his spare time he likes to work out and has been a national powerlifting champion several times.
Growing up in a family of business owners and entrepreneurs allowed Chris to learn valuable lessons and values about how to properly run a business and ultimately wanted to do it for himself one day. After growing up in restaurants and pursuing a career in the hospitality industry for about 12 years it was time for a change and Chris decided to start working in digital marketing sales and various other small companies before launching his drone business in 2021. Shortly after launching his drone business he discovered Lucid Drone Technologies and sent an inquiry without having any knowledge of the soft washing business and decided to take this massive leap of faith into the unknown.
Quickly realizing the learning curve of soft washing, pressure washing, operations, labor, marketing, and everything in between had to quickly connect with like minded business owners in the industry soon. Chris decided to hold a live demonstration day at a local pressure washing store, Georgia Chemical and that is where fate led Jeff and Chris to meet and the rest became history as the two companies began working together on large scale projects across the Southeast. Jeff and his team bought a drone to complete small scale projects but still insisted on Chris being at the large projects to ensure success and efficiency. Overall our experiences have been positive and left a lasting impression with our newfound clients.
Outside of flying drones, Chris enjoys taking the time to find new local restaurants and travel as often as possible to new destinations and can cook a mean steak!
